Improvement over results

It is more effective, more productive, and more rewarding to focus on making progress instead of results. The more complex or ambitious the result, the truer it is.

First, because most of the time you don't know exactly what you need to do to obtain a desired result, and second, because there often are many variables out of your control.
So aiming solely at the obtainment of a result quickly leads to disappointement, and giving up. Don't try - objectives do rarely work.

Amateurs seek results, pros seek improvement. See Pros fail like amateurs, but with one difference.

On the other hand, focusing on improvement can lead to achieving success every day. As long as the sole criterion for success is improvement, the moment you improved, you succeeded. This turns into a positive feedback loop, which sparks motivation and momentum.
Take things One day at a time.

What are my improvements over the past 10 years?

I'm writing this because I'm afraid to forget.
I haven't focused enough on improvment. In most of my effort, I focused on result, which made me try hard and end up quitting. I didn't keep at building anything. My on-and-off efforts, chasing success and quitting left me with nothing to show for.
